    p.s. while I was in 3d class today I started imagining these busy little guys animated, it would be delightful. another project to tack on to the list… :)

    I created all of the imagery in Illustrator, including the halftone background which was basically some swirly gradients that I put a halftone effect on. Then in photoshop I did some color correcting and I added some paper texture with a scanned-in piece of paper. Oh, and I used some magic too :)

    you really are the adobe product wizard! that’s always my least favorite part. here’s an idea: maybe i can draw and you can do all the fancy computer stuff! :)

    hey derek,

    my design just went up today. i’m curious which color shirt you like better, grey or green? there is also exciting talk of textured inks (which i know very little to nothing about).

    I figured out who the bearded guy on the right reminds me of: a character named Grampy from the Fleisher Bros. According to someone on youtube, he’s a character from Betty Boop. Here’s the cartoon I was thinking of tho:
