p.s. while I was in 3d class today I started imagining these busy little guys animated, it would be delightful. another project to tack on to the list…
is this a psd or an ai file? just wondering how you get these great textures…
I created all of the imagery in Illustrator, including the halftone background which was basically some swirly gradients that I put a halftone effect on. Then in photoshop I did some color correcting and I added some paper texture with a scanned-in piece of paper. Oh, and I used some magic too
you really are the adobe product wizard! that’s always my least favorite part. here’s an idea: maybe i can draw and you can do all the fancy computer stuff!

my design just went up today. i’m curious which color shirt you like better, grey or green? there is also exciting talk of textured inks (which i know very little to nothing about).
I figured out who the bearded guy on the right reminds me of: a character named Grampy from the Fleisher Bros. According to someone on youtube, he’s a character from Betty Boop. Here’s the cartoon I was thinking of tho:
