A buffalo stomping a covered wagon

I was inspired to draw this after playing the old Oregon Trail game for Apple II online. So many memories.

Here is a larger version.

I see a childrens book involving a vengeful buffalo in there somewhere…

Derek, I really like the buffalo you drew on Ellie’s postcard… as well as the style you’ve developed on your website. I see lots of children’s books floating in front of my retinas.

And I was reminded of this similar sense of layout… http://www.ledorfineart.com/Chapter_2.html

Now for a story. Possibly apocryphal. A guy sends Picasso a check for $1 and says, “please send me $1 worth of art.” (This was a long time ago.) Picasso endorses the back of the check and draws a devil. The check finds its way back to the guy, who sells the original Picasso drawing of a devil for $7000.

Have you drawn a devil yet?

Haha, thanks Robbin! I appreciate being compared to Picasso, it’s very flattering.

Maybe the buffalo drawing you have will be worth $7000 someday, or at least $1 :)
